Bridal News for a New Year

In This Issue

A New Year gives all of us a a chance to start fresh and make resolutions. But for brides, planning for the future is something you've been doing for months.

That's why we thought this particular holidays calls for a planning-free newsletter that has nothing whatsoever to do with stress, budgeting or details.

So throw your to-do lists out the window and take a 'time out' with The Ring.

Top 10 Most Common Bridal Resolutions
  1. Plan an elegant, trendy, and seamlessly perfect wedding without breaking a sweat OR my budget.

Making it count in '07
Try giving yourself an emotional make-over by doing something great for yourself or someone else. With thousands of options, here are a few of my favourite ideas for making it count in '07.
  1. Turn off your email and the ringer on your phone at least one evening a week
  2. 'Adopt' a foster child in Africa ($10-35/month)
  3. Learn something new such as guitar, crocheting, horseback riding
  4. Rent An Inconvenient Truth and then make a plan to reduce your own CO2 Emissions
  5. Print all the photos you've been storing in your computer for the last two years
  6. Give wedding guests donations in their name to a good cause (in lieu of 'favours' - $2-10 per guest)
  7. Make a scrapbook from photos of the people you love most
  8. Donate to or volunteer at the local Food Bank ($0 - Raid your cupboard)
  9. Call a family member you've 'lost touch with' and tell them everything in a long phone call
  10. Make a list of reasons you love your groom and show it to him
