This is a romantic story
that interviews the bride and groom about each other separately, their future,
their hopes, how they fell in love... Video is taken of the Bride and
Groom walking together, kidding around, hanging out and basically just being in love.
Everything is combined with music and photos of the couple growing up
and/or dating, and is then played at your reception! Courtesy of

Concordia
Club famous for Oktoberfest & old
favourite for
weddings
Everyone knows that
the Concordia Club throws one of the biggest and wildest Oktoberfest parties in
town every year. But what you may not know, is that they can also throw an
amazing wedding reception as well. In fact, the word 'Concordia', is Latin for
harmony, friendship and unity.
Concordia Club has
been in Kitchener since 1873 (back when Kitchener was named 'Berlin'), and does
weddings of nearly any size or budget. Concordia Club offers outdoor ceremony
possibilities, a variety of menus, a professional chef, and most importantly,
that distinctly unique atmosphere created by their German-style architecture,
dark wood, exposed beams, and high ceilings. Every bride has her own style, and
many have a shoestring budget, so we have a feeling that this is going to
quickly become one of The Ring's most popular reviews! click for full story
Family owners bring
dedication &
quality to the forefront of the
tuxedo
market
With
a great Cambridge location and involvement in just about everything
wedding-related, you've probably seen Collins Formal Wear around town. If you
were at the Bingemans Wedding Dreams show, you've likely remember their various
tuxedos strutting down the runway on the backs of some GQ-looking models.
Collins carries an exclusive line of tuxedos by some of the best and trendiest
labels around. Many of these lines can't be found anywhere else in the area.
Some of these trendy labels include ecko unltd., Claiborne, After Six, Raffinati,
Perry Ellis and Oscar de la Renta, among others. But Collins doesn't just cater
to the norm. They also rent kilts, shoes, vests, canes, top hats and so much
more. If there is an idea or style that you are looking for, you can feel
confident that Lynda, Brad, Curt and their staff will be able to help you.

Custom-made
attire from flower girls to brides
allow
K-W brides to turn imagination into
reality
If you were at the
last Welcome Wagon Show in Kitchener you will undoubtedly remember
the name Noccé. Pronounced
'NO-CHAY', the word was created to mean couture for
an elegant evening and that's what they offer to Kitchener-Waterloo brides -
only without the designer price. At the show, The Ring got to see the beautiful
custom creations that Noccé produces for their brides first hand... it only
made us want to find out more!
We sat down with
Ileana Poessy, designer and her daughter Axel to find out the in's and out's of
their custom design gown service. "What we like most about the business is the
fact that we are allowing someone to get exactly what they want, their ideal
dream dress," Ileana explains. Having someone take your description of exactly
what you are looking for and turning it into a reality - within a reasonable
budget - is a huge draw for K-W brides. If you have a photo or idea of a dress
you'd like to duplicate, can't find what you're looking for, or have unique
sizing issues, you'll love this option.

Bingemans
still a top
local reception choice in the hearts of brides after 50 years of
weddings
Bingemans
has got to be one of the most recognized names in KW's wedding industry. This
name easily and repeatedly makes it onto the 'short list' of top reception
halls.
With your Bingemans
wedding reception, you don't have to worry about anything - not the service, the
quality of food or the details. Fifty years in the business of catering 'grand
events' can show you that.
Brides and wedding
experts all over K-W give glowing reviews on Bingemans' Wedding Specialist, Doris
Hauck. Corporate policy seems to provide brides with what they want and expect,
and didn't even know they needed. If Bingemans doesn't regularly provide a
service you need, they've likely got close ties with those who do (through
reputation and their Wedding Dreams shows). In a nutshell, you're taken care of,
and then some.

Well as of
yesterday my life smoothed out. Everything major is booked, a dress chosen
and all other outfits (except for tuxs) have been selected and purchased. We
are now heading into fine details with 10 months remaining... it will be a
breeze... although i am
sure i will be a disaster
closer to the day. Any
show/movie with weddings
in me tears me up already... and not the typical
tear...

October's
Most Romantic Proposal
Posted: Wed Oct 06, 2004 2:16 pm by nichole & dan
Post
subject: My worst day turns into my best
It was a week before
my birthday and I was working on a Friday at a local bar thought wound up
getting robbed when I was there. Not a good way to start the weekend. So when my
sweetie comes to pick me up and I tell him what a horrible day I had he offers
to take me out to dinner, so I agree. We go to our usual restaurant and have a
good meal. Then he says that he has a surprise for me. I'm not someone who likes
to be kept in suspense but all he would say is we have to make sure we're done
by quarter to eight. So I assumed he was going to take me to a movie and when I
asked all he did was shake his head and laugh at me. So we get ready to leave
and we wind up going over to the community complex where he plays ball. I
thought he had a game and said that wasn't a very good surprise, and again he
laughed at me. When we parked he went over to
the trunk of the car and
pulled out my ice skates he had
bought me for Christmas. He even remembered to bring me socks
because he knew I'd be wearing sandals (and he was
right). He said that he knew how much I loved skating when I was younger so he
rented the rink just for the 2 of us. So I thought that was my big surprise but
I was wrong. After we were done skating we went into the dressing room to take
off our skates and he offered to help me take mine off, and as I look up at him,
he was on one knee with a ring in front of him. He said I'm not really good with
words, but I was wondering will you marry me? Of course I said yes, in between
hugs and tears, and I think the best part was the fact that he even remembered
to bring me kleenex...

alone!
This
November you will be able to tell your own local wedding story, see season
two of reality weddings, get updates to our continuing season one, win free
