Noccé offers custom-made attire from flower girls, allowing
K-W brides to turn imagination into reality
Noccé
creates bridal gowns, bridesmaids gowns, veils and more, just
for you, according to what you want. Pronounced 'No-Chay', the
word was created to mean couture for an elegant evening and
that's what they offer to Kitchener-Waterloo brides - only
without the designer price. "What we like most about the
business is the fact that we are allowing someone to get exactly
what they want, their ideal dream dress," Ileana explains.
Having someone take your description of exactly what you are
looking for and turning it into a reality - within a reasonable
budget - is a huge draw for K-W brides. If you have a photo or
idea of a dress you'd like to duplicate, can't find what you're
looking for, or have unique sizing issues, you'll love this
option. Axel understands the need for their services in the
wedding gown industry for these and other reasons, "I'm a very
picky person myself, so I understand!"

The Kanellis
family goes beyond all expectations to make sure every bride
and groom leave Golf's with a story to tell
It seems
like just about every couple or family in the community has
a story to tell about Golf's - whether it be of their
anniversary in the Dining Room alongside the Grand River,
their corporate Christmas Party in the Golf's Royal Room or
their Ballroom wedding reception. And now The Ring has a
story to tell too...
At
Golf's Steak House & Seafood, the Kanellis family goes far
above and beyond any reasonable expectation of service, and
almost always at no extra cost to you. From setting up your
decor and opening doors for your guests to serving seconds
on plated dinners and distributing after-dinner mints and
toothpicks, you're treated like family. Your rolls will be
served hot, your drinks refilled, your alcohol charged by
the ounce (not the bottle), and you'll always have a
Kanellis family member present to help you with anything
else you need. With a location that backs onto the Grand
River and a capacity of up to 300 guests, this restaurant
and banquet centre offers the option of hosting your
ceremony, riverside photo shoot, cocktail hour and/or
reception, all in one great location.

It would
be impossible to recount how many recommendations The Ring
has received about Golf's Steak House & Seafood. This
Kitchener venue is owned and operated entirely by the three
brothers and father of the Kanellis family - Gus, George,
Tom and Mike respectively. After speaking with Gus and
George Kanellis, it's apparent that it's not necessarily the
great view from the Dining Room or the capacity of their
banquet rooms that has earned all the credit. It's really
this family and the way they treat their customers, that has
made Golf's what it is for the past thirty years.

Your ceremony in
paradise...
Your Wings of Paradise wedding
starts out with your ceremony in your choice of locations.
For groups up to 30 people, you can be married in The
Conservatory amid the tropical splendour of waterfalls,
plants, flowers and, of course, butterflies. For parties of
30 to 100 people, the Monarch room, decorated with a tulle
arbour, lights and tropical
plants transforms into an ideal ceremony location, still
reminiscent of The Conservatory's ambiance. |

"I
approach flowers like an architectural undertaking, designing
from the foundation up," explains Julie. To create a bride’s
bouquet, Julie selects the finest flowers from the hundreds she
has ordered for that wedding. She sets these aside and creates
this special bouquet last, since it needs to be the freshest.
This is Julie’s favourite bouquet to create as it has been
custom designed to suit the bride’s colouring, stature, and
personality. "I can’t let a bouquet go until it’s absolutely
divine."
"Every bride gives me a picture of her gown and of the
bridesmaids dresses. I make sure everything compliments
perfectly." |
Every bouquet has a name, a design, & a
story of its own at Lally's Bouquet

Julie Durward,
owner of Lally's Bouquet, is focused on one passion - flowers.
More specifically, wedding flowers and bouquets. At Lally's
Bouquet, each arrangement has its own name and unique design,
customized specifically for its recipient. Sometimes using
ribbons, fabrics, and a hint of European influence and sometimes
inspired by a bride's own ideas, there is detail in each
arrangement.
Lally's Bouquet is for the bride
whose top priority is style and who loves all of the extra
touches that Julie considers standard. Julie has created her
company around her love for colour and floral design, and with
the idea in mind that clients deserve extra attention. "When we
met Julie, we instantly became smitten by her immense passion
for flowers. That same passion transformed my vision into
reality, assuring our wedding was picture perfect," said couple,
Lino and Luiza Diasonama, married on June 25, 2005.

Matt Ballard is
that neighbour down the street that everyone likes and knows. He has built
his life around the things that are most important to him - his wife Renee,
his photography, his dog Hyla, and his friends. He
trusts in and relies on Renee's opinion for all things in work and in life,
and knows what it means to be building a life with the person you love most.
Matt has been shooting for over fifteen years and takes on about thirty-five weddings per
year. While he lives in Woodstock, the majority of his weddings take place
in London, K-W, Guelph, and surrounding areas. He's used to being on
the road and doesn't mind traveling to weddings or photo shoots, to capture
the perfect moment.
|
Matt Ballard uses personality,
flexibility, and a mix of photography styles
to give couples what they're looking for
After fifteen years of wedding photography, Matt Ballard of Matt Ballard
Photography, has found that the key to his success is in offering a flexible
mix of shooting styles for his clients. Ranging from portrait and romantic to posed-candid
and true photojournalistic, he combines styles to give you exactly the
wedding photos you're looking for. He includes DVD digital negatives in his
packages on top of offering online photo galleries
that allow you to share your memories with friends and family via the
internet. It's easy to make Matt's photography packages your own, especially
with a variety of print and album options.
All this aside though, it's his easy-going personality that makes you feel
comfortable imagining him by your side on the wedding day. After seeing and
hearing Matt's name in several cities over the past several years, The Ring
visited his home to view portfolios, ask questions, and find out what it is
that brings bride and groom couples to his door...

tip:
running on empty
By Nelia & Teresa, Ultimate Affairs Event
Planning
So
you've put hours into planning a wedding and reception... Finally you
sit down for the much awaited dinner. You're famished, or at
least you should be, because you haven't eaten in about 24 hours! But
for some reason, your stomach is telling you different. You must face the fact that you
may not actually eat at your wedding! Whether it's a busy schedule,
excitement, or just nerves that prevent you from dining, many brides
find themselves running on empty before too long.
To get fueled up for your entire wedding day, here is what to do. Ask your planner, or a bridesmaid, to help you
out by making sure a tray of food from your reception, or, the hotel
you are staying is waiting for you when you arrive in your room. This way, when you arrive in your room you will be able to relax and
rejuvenate by grabbing a quiet bite together. It will also give you
some much needed energy for the wedding night!

most romantic proposal:
'Unexpected!'
Hi everyone,
I am new to the board but I am glad I found it because I didn't realize
there was a specific board for people in the tri-city area.
Anyway...my boyfriend proposed to me on June 12th 2005 and he surprised me
by throwing a surprise party at my house with my family and friends. I was
expecting him to propose at Rockwood Conservation Area because we go there
every summer to canoe and the first time we went, we engaged our names into
a tree. The day he proposed, we went there canoeing and I was waiting and
waiting for him to pop the question. When he didn't and the day came to an
end, I was very disappointed. However, when we got back to my house, there
was the big surprise. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It
was very unexpected but amazing...

advice:
Registering for Cash
I don't know if anyone
has posted on this before but here goes. My FH and I are barely making ends
meet. We've already had to put off our wedding a year for financial reasons.
Is it totally unthinkable to ask for cash in lieu of gifts? We would like to
start a fund to pay for a house and save up for other things. Is this
totally unthinkable? If not, any ideas on how we go about doing this?
